THE BEREAVED: New Singer Announced
January 16, 2008Swedish melodic death/thrash metal band THE BEREAVED has recruited American singer Travis Neal (PERSQUAREINCH, PUSHED) to handle the vocals on the group's new album, "Daylight Deception", due in the spring via Vic Records.
Commented Neal: "I'm very happy to be a part of THE BEREAVED and I cannot wait to start performing with the band on stage. I'm very excited to release this new record; I feel that you will all be very happy with the new sound!! Much love to all of you and I will talk to you all very soon!"
"Daylight Deception" will feature 10 tracks, "some of [which] you may have heard and some [of which] will be new," according to the band. "All the songs have been re-written with new vocal patterns and lyrics, except for 'Skeleteen' and 'Zero of the Day'. Those two songs will have the same lyrics but with new patterns."
As previously reported, Swedish multi-intrumentalist/producer Dan Swanö will make a guest appearance on "Daylight Deception". According to the group, "the record will also be mixed and mastered by Mr. Swano!"
Says the band: "We will be filming a video for the first single on the record, 'Alter the Image' this weekend and it should be available for your viewing pleasure in February sometime."
